Autism Awareness
After 8 years of teaching teens and tweens it's become apparant that animation and cartoons draw students with Autism beacuse of the very nature of cartoon characters expressions that tell a true story. Many of animations skill sets require intense focus with obsession so when students with autism pick up the skills they seem to enjoy abosrbing all the details and tool kits that enhance their abilities to the fullest.
Having experience with the challenges that autism present, I have designed the curriculum to be all-inclusive and this certainly includes those that love animation as much as myself.
